Adam Hodson has lived in Southern Nevada since 1994. He attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and graduated cum laud in 2000. He later went on to complete his Masters in Science with an emphasis in Accounting & Taxation in 2003. He earned his license as a Certified Public Accountant in 2003 and his license as a Certified Fraud Examiner in 2005.
Mr. Hodson started his public accounting career working for a large local firm for four and half years. There he specialized in the fields of construction and real estate in both Tax and Audit. While there, he helped a number of large companies with their financial statements, tax compliance, and helped structure their transactions to best take advantage of the current tax laws.
For a short time, Mr. Hodson left public accounting and went on to become the CFO of a manufacturing company and a construction company. While at these companies, he utilized his training to set up internal controls and streamline the financial statement and tax return processes. Mr. Hodson currently serves as the CFO of an international medical device company.
In 2005, Mr. Hodson started his own public accounting firm. His primary focus has been helping start-up companies by training their accounting personnel and helping with their federal, state and local tax and license requirements. In 2005, he became a QuickBooks Pro advisor to provide additional support to his small business clients.
Mr. Hodson is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Nevada Society of CPAs and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
In 2011, Mr. Hodson was recognized as one of the top 40 business professionals under 40 years old in Southern Nevada by In Business Magazine.
